She became septic, suffered organ failure including kidneys that did not recover. The new norm was peritoneal and then hemolysis. She finally returned home after 80 days of hospitalization, from the point where she was close to death, and began the long road back to health. Her life had been forever changed. Angelica had completed a half-year of dialysis, and one year half, was now ready for her biggest operation of all - an organ replacement. She would receive the donated kidney from her mom. Angelica Hale had a successful renal transplantation alongside her mother on the 13th of September, 2013. The surgery was performed at Emory University Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale, a young Atlantan girl who always thought of becoming an actor and singer she is still working toward the dream.
